Slow Cooker Pot Roast with Lime and Green Chilies

I know that traditionally people use pork roast for this kind of recipe. But I have 1/4 of a beef in the freezer and a conventionally raised pork roast was around ten dollars at the store.

So I used a lovely grassfed top blade roast out of my freezer.

It took me 5 minutes to put the ingredients in the slow cooker before I went to work. Even the pickiest people in my house loved this :)

I had a bad cooking day. I overcooked my "noodles", and then dropped half of them on the floor. I salvaged the noodles that were not actually touching the floor (sigh). The dinner was still worth it, definitely :).
