Read MoreI know that traditionally people use pork roast for this kind of recipe. But I have 1/4 of a beef in the freezer and a conventionally raised pork roast was around ten dollars at the store.
So I used a lovely grassfed top blade roast out of my freezer.
It took me 5 minutes to put the ingredients in the slow cooker before I went to work. Even the pickiest people in my house loved this :)

I think people's personal stories are so helpful when starting a new way of eating! I don't think I would have been able to start a grain free diet without all the blogs that I read that were telling me, yes, this actually could work. I'm grateful to those people.

I brought some for Thanksgiving at my mom and dad's house last year and I was worried there wouldn't be enough for everyone, especially me!

Read MoreThis dessert is delicious and uncomplicated. I always get overwhelmed when it comes to holidays so I don't want to do complicated stuff. My mom always has lots of energy and makes fancy crafts and Christmas stockings and 15 different kinds of Christmas treats. I didn't inherit that from her, I guess.
